These six sessions can be run as a weekly small group in the weeks before your trip. Each session takes 45–60 minutes and requires no preparation beyond reading the passages.
Session 1 — The Land of Promise: Genesis 12:1–3, Deuteronomy 8:7–10. Why did God choose this specific land? What does it mean that our faith is rooted in geography?
Session 2 — The Galilee: Mark 1:14–39. Jesus' early ministry. What does it mean to "follow" someone physically — walking where they walk?
Session 3 — Jerusalem: Psalm 122, Luke 19:41–44. The city Jesus loved and wept over. What does Jerusalem represent in your spiritual life?
Session 4 — The Wilderness: Matthew 4:1–11, 1 Kings 19:1–13. What does the desert teach us about dependence on God?
Session 5 — The Cross: Isaiah 53, Matthew 27:32–56. Preparing to walk the Via Dolorosa. What does it mean to carry your cross?
Session 6 — Resurrection and Return: John 20:1–18, Acts 1:6–11. How do we bring the Holy Land home? What is God asking you to see on this trip?
